Chapter 04 : Let's See The Sunset
The next day, you keep practicing again. Kyoujuro came to you and give you some support, he even promised to see the sunset with you, the next day. You even went to the other Pillars estate for training your skills. You're so excited to see the sunset with the man you have fallen in love with. You do your best to get much stronger, you even learn how to use a proper breath style.
But then on that night when you are training your breathing at the Butterfly Estate, you heard a message from Tanjiro's crow. /Arkk! Rengoku Kyoujuro, went to Northern area! Arkk! He's in danger! Arkk! Kamado Tanjiro! Agatsuma Zenitsu! Hashibira Inosuke! Kamado Nezuko! Arkk! Hurry go to Northern area! Hurry! Run! Arkk!/. Your eyes widened just to hear that your man is in danger. You take your blade and run after them, you follow them in secret.
When you arrive, you saw your man has badly injured. His body covered with blood, but he's still moving. Tanjiro and the others come at the right time and save him. You could only stand there and trembling once you saw that demon fast. That's the demon that killed your family! an upper moon demon. You clench your fist in anger, Tanjiro and the others seems to struggle a lot as well as Kyoujuro. He must stay safe, we've promised to see the sunset tomorrow.
“Rengoku-san!!” you shouted and run towards him.
“huh!? (y/n)! what are you doing here?” he said, shocked to see you're there.
“I came after heard that you're in danger!” you reply and hug him tight.
“Please! This place is too dangerous, hide somewhere now!” he said pushing you away.
You cry but you don't want to let him go. He wipe your tears away and smile gently at you. He doesn't want you to worried of him, he end up standing in front of you, to protect you. You hold your blade tightly, you are ready to fight along side him. But the upper moon demon seems so strong that you are trembling and sweating. You hold your blade and swing it using your breathing first style. But it's no use, his neck is hard as diamond.
“Gyaaaargghh!! I'm going to die! What to do now!! (y/n)-chan!! Let's get out of this place!” Zenitsu screaming and running around you.
“huh!? What the hell with you man? Get a hold of yourself! I won't run away anymore! I won't ever give up! I will definitely, cut the darn demon's neck!” you shouted with anger.
“eh? ..... (y/n)-chan!! You are so scary too! Tan-ji-rooo~!! (y/n)-chan is shouting at me!” Zenitsu cling on Tanjiro's hips.
Tanjiro show him a disgust look on his face. Zenitsu literally snap out and unconscious but then few seconds later he get up like a different person. He become much stronger , and he's a lightning user! You grip a tight hold on your blade and take a deep breath. You want to protect Kyoujuro as well. You run towards the upper moon and use your second form but nobody can see your breathing form. You failed again. That demon return an attack on you but defense by Kyoujuro's body.
“Rengoku-san!!!” everyone shouts including you.
“No!! Rengoku-san! Please answer me, open your eyes!!” you scream and crying.
“H-hey, don't cry (y/n). I don't want to see your crying face. ” he smile gently, caressing your cheeks.
“You cannot die! Please don't die!” you cries even harder.
Kyoujuro only smile at you, his blood is leaking out too much. Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu use their final blow to attack the demon. You finally get up, holding your blade and use a Total Concentration, Breath of The Light, Final Form : Light Burst, Sky drill!. Kyoujuro saw you finally manage to use your breath properly. You jump towards the demon and cut his neck easily. The sun rising at the moment after you cut his neck. You fall on the ground crying, you hug Kyoujuro tightly.
“Don't leave me! Kyoujuro!” you said while crying.
“Y-you finally call me by my first name. I'm happy! (y/n), remember I told you? That there's a secret I want to tell you.” he said, wiping your tears away.
“Yes! I remember it clearly. What is it?” you asked, looking into his eyes.
“... I just want to propose you. I fell in love with you, at our first met. You believe in love at the first sight?” he said smiling so gently.
“You love me? K-kyoujuro! I believe in love at first sight. I also have the same feeling as yours, so please! I beg you! Don't die on me!” you cries, hugging him tightly.
“I'm sorry, (y/n). For now, I have to postponed the proposal. I might.. N-not.. Be able to.. See.. You........” he suddenly stop talking, his hand has loosen the grip on you.
You shouted and screaming, Tanjiro and the others crying at the back. You cry out loud, you don't want him to die. But he has stop responding you, before able to finish his words. The Kakushi and Shinobu's team just arrive at the moment Kyoujuro stop responding. You sad, you hate your life. How will you keep living? What will happen to you in the future? You don't want to continue living. You hold your blade tightly, almost commit seppuku but stopped by Shinobu. She hug you tight, telling you to calm yourself and do not do anything stupid. You caress Kyoujuro's face and cries.
