Chapter 03 : Savior
Today, is the day you have to start living in the Flame Estate. You can't say no to the man's order, even though you don't even want. You brought your things into the estate, your room has been set next to Kyoujuro's room. While you're unpacking your things, Kyoujuro came to your room. You look at him with a derp face, yet he just smile. You make a signal for him to get out of the room yet he still sitting there waiting for you.
“hm.. Rengoku-san, you don't have to wait. I'm almost done now.” you said, feeling a bit uncomfortable.
“I brought you bento, here you go.” he hand you a box of bento.
You take it and sit next to him, both of you enjoying your lunch together. ‘Tasty Tasty Tasty ’ can be heard loud and clear from him. You blinks your eyes several time, confuse of his reaction. You try to eat it and sparkles can be seen in your eyes. You imitate him ‘Tasty Tasty Tasty’. Both of you enjoys your foods. Kyoujuro stopped as he finished his food and so you are. You look at him and noticed a little leftover food on his upper lips, you reach his face and wipe it away using your thumb. You smile gently at him, he hold your hand and smile as well.
“It's time!” he said and get up, dragging you along with him.
“eh?? It's time? For what!?” you shocked at his suddenly action.
“Training!” he laugh.
Hearing the word ‘Training’ already make you scream in the inside. You feels tired yet you are flustered and excited to start for a train with a Pillar. You never imagine what hell could be waiting for you yet you are just too excited. Not until you arrive at the forest behind the estate. You shocked, jaw drop and trying to run away. He hold your haori and drag you to the place where you must train your breath control.
“iiiiyaaaadaaaa!!! (Nooooooo!!!)” you scream.
“You remind me of a young man with a yellow hair. Both of you are noisy but, I know you can do it well because he too can do well!” he said, making you to have a confidence in yourself.
“...I'm not a man!” you said.
“Do you know that there's 2 woman as Pillar?” he put you down gently on a bench under a big Sakura tree.
“hm, The Love Pillar and The Insect Pillar?” you asked and sit comfortably on the bench.
“See, you know they exist. Now don't talk too much and just start with the training.” he said, crossing his arm.
You get up and tidy yourself, you hold your nichirin blade and try to focus. Concentrate on your breathing. Trying to use a breath style, but it can't be seen. You don't have enough power. You then start running around the forest, jumping around, rolling on the ground, and training yourself using the wooden sword. You panting of exhausted, Kyoujuro still there, waiting you on the bench. You wipe your sweat away and remember your past, you won't give up until the day you finally able to cut the neck of the darn demon who killed your family.
Kyoujuro get up and walk toward you, he hold your hand and help you to fix your posture. You blushes hard, feels the touch of a man and his breath on your ear. You can't focus with him this close to you, you accidentally pushes him away. He look at you in confusion, you apologized but then he suddenly pull you into a tight embrace. You try your best to push him away, yet he still hugging you so tight. You blushes and give up, then slowly you reply his hug. He smiles, caresses your hair gently.
“Calm yourself down, I know that you once had a hard time in the past. If you want to say anything, you can share it with me.” he said while still hugging you.
“I.. I just, remembering the view that my family being killed by a demon. My younger brother, my father and mother. They were killed.. I was there, behind a tree. I saw them! I saw that demon face, he killed my family. He ate them. But I.. I do nothing. I couldn't protect my important person, and my weakness is to be blame!” you tell him as you hide your face on his chest and cries out loud.
He caress your hair and cup your cheeks. He smiles gently and wipe your tears away, he pats your head and hug you again.
“And.. How did you survive? A demon slayer safe you?” he asked.
“Y-yes, how did you know? I don't remember how he looks like because.. ” you haven't finish your words and he barge in.
“..because you fall unconscious. Just like days ago when I safe you, again..” he smiles gently.
“wait- again?” you push him away and cup his cheeks.
You stares deep into his eyes and tries to remember the past time when you saw your savior. You blushes hardly when you remember that the person who safe you 2 years ago is the man wearing white flaming cape. You hug him tightly and keep thanking him for everything he has done. He hold your hand and pinches your cheeks gently.
“I have a secret that I want to tell you, but not now. Do your best in this training camp, then I will tell you, what the secret is!” he laugh and pats your head gently.
“eh? A secret? Why not now? Rengoku-san~” you pouted yet you laugh as well as he does. You are happy, you look up to the sky and smiles wide, you finally met the person who save you 2 years ago.
