Strawberry Prince › Oneshot Story
“Looking at your necktie, you must be a new student. What's your name?” he asked.
“Yes, my name is.. (y/n), and you are..?” you bow and thank him.
“My name is Satomi, and I am one of the 6th members of Strawberry Prince!” he replied with a weary smile.
Satomi-san.. Strawberry Prince.. You smile back at him but those eyes.. Such a weary and sad look. This person must have been hiding something that he suffer from everyone. You bow and take your leave and went to the class. You thought that your class would be only composed department student but it's mixed with the Utaite. For the first periods, you're fine with the education and the classmates. On the second periods, your class is moved to the theater hall. There, you meet with the Strawberry Prince. They seems to take part of this class. A theater musical class.
Your gaze are focusing on one of the member, Satomi. You still wondering about his weary smile. Wanting to ask but unable to ask, you keep silent at your seat alone at the back. Your eyes still glancing over him, at one moment he turn back and noticed you. He smiles wearily, you smiles back at him. You then decided to waved at him with a big smile. He blink his eyes then get up from his seat, he walk towards you and greet you. You asked him to sit next to you, and he did. Both of you talk to each other very well. His charismatic look and his charming voice, makes you falls for him. You start getting comfortable talking with him, the comfort between the two of you have make him finally show his true smile.
“hm, Satomi-san.. Would you like to hangout more with me? I may be new in this composed and music industry but, I would like to have more talk with you about music and probably collaboration (?)” you asked him
“I'll think about that. I'll find you whenever I want, is that good?” he said as he get up.
You nods your head, he smiles and walk back to his seat. You're giving your full attention and focused on the class, wrote down some notes for yourself. After done the class, you walk towards the SutoPuri members and tries to reach Satomi but the crowd that surround them make you fall back. A member of SutoPuri catches you, he smiles and even joking with you. You facepalm and walkaway from him, he grab your arms.
“hey (y/n), don't you remember me? I'm Jel. J-kun, remember?” he said.
“...who? I'm sorry, I don't know anyone with the nickname of J-kun..” you said and bow to him then walkaway.
Satomi noticed Jel and you, he stay silent but his eyes seems like he doesn't like how Jel touch you. You don't even turn back to look at him, Satomi seems like he is pissed off. He walkaway leave the other members and went to a pond next to school building. Satomi was sitting and staring at the pond. At that time, you were talking on the phone with someone. Satomi happen to heard your conversation. He saw your were crying while talking in the phone. It seems like that person must be an important person to you.
“Please take care of him, he is the only one left in my life. I'd rather leave everything just for him, I'll do anything. Please.. I beg you..” you said and hung the phone. You cries a lot.
“Are you okay?” he offer you a handkerchief.
“S-satomi-san!? I.. I'm sorry you had to see me in this condition. I can't bear this sad feelings.” you take the handkerchief and wipe your tears away and smiles gently at him.
“I see, may I sit here?” he asked.
“Yes, sure. Have a sit.” you move a bit giving him the space to sit.
You smile at him, both of you start to have a talk more and you even manage to dig in his deep sorrow. He finally open up his sorrow past, about his family and his old friends. You stay silent, you thought it must be hard for him, to become an Utaite, with many kind of characteristic fans. You cup his cheeks and smile wide. You told him to cry if he want, you would smile for his sake of happiness and luck. He finally cries on your shoulder. After that day, he went busy with preparation of SutoPuri's debut. You only composed them few songs, but because they are way too busy in fanmeeting, photoshoot, practice and theater musical, it makes you and Satomi to get distance.
You always smile whenever you bump with him, he smile back but he was too busy that he couldn't even find a time to say ‘hello’. You smile from far, whenever you saw him on the theater stage. He seems more happier than before, perhaps it was because of he's chasing for his dream. One day, you received a call from your Dad's caretaker. You were shocked, your phone dropped on the ground. You cries hard and finally you decided to drop off school and went back to your hometown. You cries as you saw your Dad lying in pain on the bed, unable to move freely as before. Now your Dad can only talk a bit, not as much as before. You hug your Dad tight, and started to live like a normal village girl. After Satomi and the other SutoPuri members done their performance they were announced a shock news where they would have a new composer and it's not you anymore. Satomi ask about your whereabout, but none of them know.
» Time skip | A years later «
“Otou-san! You shouldn't walk yet!” you put down the laundry basket and catch your Dad.
“Arr.. I'm s-s-sorry, (y/n). I want t-t-to see w-w-who came h-h-here. T-t-there!” he pointed at the front gate, a white car parked in front of your home gate.
“eh? Who was it? Otou-san, sit here and I'll be right back. Do not move even an inch!” you help your Dad to sit on a rocking chair at the yard and went to greet the person in the car.
You open the gate, the man with a pink hair, a white coat with sunglasses came out of the car. He walk towards you with a big smile on his face. You widened your eyes, tears fall from your eyes. The man isn't unfamiliar to you, you both know each other very well. You cup your mouth, cries as you are so happy to meet him again. You run towards him and hug him tightly, and he replies your hug.
“It's been awhile, (y/n)..” he said as he take off the sunglasses and smiles wide.
“Yes, it is.. Satomi-san..” you smiles happily.
“Hey, do you happen to know how long I've wondered? Whenever I was weary, I always thought about your hands that always reached out. Right now, saying ‘I love you’ is still hard, but I'll say it one day.” he said as he hold your hand tight.
“S-satomi-san...” you blushes hardly, stares into his eyes.
“(y/n), your love is all I need. Because of you, I'm able to fight against pain. I'm not afraid of what will come tomorrow, if we're together always believe in me, well that's because we're together.” he said laughing.
“During each repetitive day, you're the sun that revolves around me. I hope all of my dreams do not change, including your feelings. The feeling of love, I wasn't sure of it at first, so I didn't trust it but now, I've found the right answer. Deep in my heart, the pain silently melts away. Now I'll wipe away those tears and pour in the happiness, when I hold you in my arms.” he said again and suddenly kneeled down in front of you, holding your right hand as he take out a box of ring.
“(y/n), will you be my fiancé? Will you continue to shine brightly in my life?” he propose you, your Dad seems to be surprised to see it.
“Satomi-san, oh god! Yes yes! Of course I would.. I want to shine bright in your darkest part and help you to stand up straight whenever you're about to fall. I'll always be by your side, Satomi-san!” you receive the ring and wear it on your finger, he get up and kisses your forehead and hold your hand tight then walk towards your Dad. Both of you look so happy together.. This is the life that you've been dreaming to have.. Finally, your dream came true.
